I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
